In 2020 the Kiwanis Club of Thomas County/Colby lost one of the most influential people in Kiwanis, Kenton Krehbiel. Kenton was part of many boards for the Kansas District and has served in every position at the club level. The Kiwanis Club met several times and was pondering how we as a club, can commemorate his Kiwanis Legacy. In 2023 the Club decided to partner with the Cunningham Recreation, City of Colby, Colby Rotary Club, Thomas County Community Foundation and several Colby Citizens to develop a plan to upgrade the park equipment at Villa High and make it an all inclusive park for all kids to enjoy.
